SERIES OF MEMORIES
The Museum of Śląsk Wrocław presents the most significant items, characters and events of the decades-long history of the football section of the WKS (Wrocław Football Club). The exhibition features both exhibits and – above all – multimedia materials: interviews with former players and coaches, match records, stadium presentations, etc.
The exhibition is arranged chronologically, and takes you on a path through the various stages of the history of WKS and the city of Wrocław:
- Club on the ruins of the city (1945-1956)
- On the way to the top division
- Historic promotion in 1964
- The golden 1970s
- The 1980s
- The crisis years 1992-2008
OUR MUSEUM, OUR CITY
The exhibition not only aims to present the history of Śląsk Wrocław (its journey through promotion and relegation from the various leagues, its historical crests, greatest trophies, most spectacular goals and legendary players) but also tells the club’s story in the context of the history of Wrocław.
Through these testimonies, visitors have the chance to learn about the transformation of the city of Wrocław, the capital of Lower Silesia, and about the lives of its inhabitants.
